【摘要】:Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationofastrain-hardeningexponentbytensiontestingofmetallicsheetmaterialsforwhichplastic-flowbehaviorobeysthepowercurvegivenintheIntroduction.Note1-Asinglepowercurvemaynotfittheentirestress-straincurvebetweenyieldandnecking.Ifsuchisthecase,morethanonevalueofthestrain-hardeningexponentcanbeobtained(2).Thistestmethodisformetallicsheetmaterialswiththicknessesofatleast0.005in.(0.13mm)butnotgreaterthan0.25in.(6.4mm).Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.TheSIequivalentsshownmaybeapproximate.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
